목시의 캐릭터가 좋다. 쉽게 좌절하지 않는다. 건강한 자존감을 가지고 있다. 못 생긴 인형이라고 어떤 아이도 사랑해주지 않을 것이라고 하는 메시지에 쉽게 굴복하지 않는다. "I'm broken and it's beautiful" 이라는 영화 속 노래가 핵심 메시지를 잘 전달해 준다. 영화 마지막에 목시를 꼭 닮은 아이가 인형을 선물 받고는 환하게 웃으며 품에 목시를 꼭 안는 장면이 인상적이다.
