Lila is born in the Blue Country, but moves with her parents to the Yellow Country when she is a little girl. As she gets older she discovers that she isn’t all blue—she has swirls of yellow from growing up in the Yellow Country!

Lila isn’t just like her yellow friends or her blue cousins, so she feels as though she doesn’t fit in anywhere. But when she meets another swirly kid and his swirly mom, she finds out that she does belong somewhere . . . with a very special swirly Someone.

"He left His first country and family in heaven to grow up in a country on our earth. When He was very little, His earthly family moved to another country on earth, and then back to the first one. Now He lives in the hearts of people in every country of the world, and all their colors are a part of Him" 29-31

Being swirly like Jesus is a special blessing. Being swirly sometimes helps us understand people and ways from all colors of countries better than people who have grown up to be all one color. 31
